A colour and composition study which started with no final goal or set form in mind. A shape to play around with and no rationalising or conceptualising whilst at task become the few boundaries of the process.
The focus is on repetition, overlapping elements and colour, often attempting to depict a sense of depth and space.
A routine took place of revisiting previous sketches, going back and forth between each sketchbook. An image or element taken and experimented with over and over leads to something slightly different and new to the original. One sketch leads to the other and through time the number of books grew. It became no longer natural to follow the process just by flickering through. Sketches were scanned and organized by book and year. For having a better overview and to be able to continue with more direction editing and selection became necessary.
